Today I thought I would do a slightly different post with all the DIY storage ideas that I have been seeing around the internet and ones that I have also thought up.

I found a wooden letter holder for 40p at a car boot sale, I sanded it and painted it with white gloss. It's got my eyeshadow pallets, mac pigments and mono shadows in the little draw. I love the cake stand idea.

I love the idea of using picture ledges as nail polish shelves! That's brilliant! I use empty jars for my makeup brushes at the moment so I'm glad you mentioned that :) xxx

I like the retro-feel most of them have.

I was looking for a proper nailpolish storage for ages...
Thanks to you I am now going to check out Ribba.
My boyfriend will be happy too cause he doesn't
have to build me a nailpolish rack now, as he promised.

Fab post! I already use a cake stand to store my makeup which I love, as it just makes me alternate my makeup more. I really adore the mirror idea for perfume trays, they look stunning ! xx

I like the idea of the cake stands, I use it for the little jewelry; I also use for trays for moisturizers and nail polishes, plastic glasses for eye pencils, mascaras and brushes. I like to use things my way, but I wish I had more room for all my beauty products. www.webelieveinstyle.net

The letter rack as palette holder is a stroke of genius. I use ferrero rocher boxes for storing craft stuff and have just kept the bunny shaped one from easter to use for the little ones tiny toys

oh yay thanks so much for sharing these! i'm just in the process of organizing everything in my new apartment so these are super helpful. i think i'll keep an eye out for cute cupcake stands next time i'm out shopping ;) if all else fails, at least i have a cute cupcake stand. who can say no to that? hehe
