It feels like a while since I've done a simple Nail of the Day post so I thought I would seek out a nail polish I haven't had a chance to try out and do my nails!
As we are approaching cooler weather I thought I'd pick out something that didn't seem too summery or too autumnal and this lovely lavender shaded nail polish from MUA seemed the perfect choice.
Frozen Yogurt is one of MUA's £1 nail polishes which I picked up in Superdrug a few months ago. Unlike other lower end nail polish these newly packaged nail polishes don't look thin or uneven on the nails at all, far from it in fact!
Here I applied two coats and then a thin layer of Seche Viche Top Coat £5.57 here, for glossy good measure. I really am impressed at this nail polish, from the shade to the application and of course the price. The shade is just a lovely lavender hue that is unique and warming against pale skin. I only have two nail polishes from MUA (Pistachio Ice Cream nail swatches here) but this has convinced me I need many more!
To jazz it up a bit, as I can't seem to just paint my nails one colour anymore, I decided to add an accent colour to my ring fingers. My nail polish of choice was Models Own Amethyst £5.00 - here (from the Velvet Goth collection) with a coat of Seche Vite turning it from a semi-matte finish to a glossy one to tie in with the rest of my nails.
I really feel like this has turned out to be an unintentional transitional summer to autumn nail look that I really do love.
MUA really are pretty amazing!
