The Autumn Tag

I'm not a serial tag do-er but I spotted this tag on One Litte Vice and I loved the idea of it as I'm really glad for a change of season this year. Though I'm still wondering where this year has gone! 

It also gives me a chance just to ramble about things other than beauty, which I felt I needed this weekend... it's been a stressful one!

 1. Favourite thing about Autumn? 

I think I would have to say the cosy feeling it gives me. From needing to wear warmer clothes to because cosy on the sofa with a blanket... especially at the weekend. I also start getting excited for Halloween and looking forward to Christmas which gives me a fuzzily comforting feeling!

2. Favourite drink? 

 I'm not a hot drinks lover (I've never actually drank a cup of tea?!) however I do occasionally like a white hot chocolate. My favourite one is Whittard's Luxury White Hot Chocolate (here) it's like melted down Milky Bars! Though this Autumn I'm tempted to try the Creme Brulee White Hot Chocolate as it sounds sooo yummy. 

3. Favourite scent/candle? 

My favourite scent would have to be soft vanilla. I find it sweet but also relaxing and cosy (I feel I've already exhausted the word 'cosy' in this post). My favourite candle is a Neom one called Serenity, which is Vanilla & Sandalwood... though to me it smells like vanilla and Terry's chocolate orange! I find it such a calming scent to burn.

4. Best lipstick? 

This should have been best lipstick(s) as I couldn't possible pick only one. Favourites are more berry toned than anything else... though I do still love my nudes. Favourite berry toned lipsticks that pop into my head are - Rimmel Berry Queen, NYX Round Lipstick Hero and Rimmel Kate 107.

5. Go to moisturiser? 

I'm totally in love with Clarins HydraQuench Cream. It seems to hydrate and moisture my skin yet feels so light. This will definitely continue to be a part of my routine as the weather gets cooler.

6. Go to colours for the eyes? 

I love both neutral matte shades for a smokey eye and metallic golds/taupes/browns. I really enjoy doing my eye makeup in autumn and winter.

7. Favourite music or band/singer to listen to? 

I can't say I listen to anything different really. Though my aim this autumn is to fill my iPhone with music as my song count strangely remains at zero due to laziness! I'd say Gabrielle Aplin is a nice artist to listen to... uplifting and easy to listen to.

8. Favourite outfit to wear (i.e. boots & a scarf combo)? 

I live in jumper dresses, tights and boots (really wanting some cut-out boots this year). I also love nice scarves and snoods.

9. Autumn treat? 

I normally treat myself to a new candle... or 3, and a warm throw/blanket. I also treat myself to cheap dvds on eBay that I remember I love and watch them on Sunday's... things like A Little Princess, The Sound of Music, The Goonies. This year I also need a new winter coat.

10. Favourite place to be? 

Without a doubt at home, blogging or watching a film on the sofa all warm. It may sound middle-aged but I also love thinking up a recipe to cook in my slow cooker and making homemade rice pudding - yum!
