The last time I bought Shout Magazine I was probably about 13 and it certainly wasn't £4.99...neither did it contain free makeup though!
I basically bought the magazine for the nail polish as if I'm right in thinking it's not in Barry M's current range (not to sure though as it hasn't not a number on the base of the bottle). It is quite a lovely shade though...a kind of deep navy blue with small silver flecks of glitter.
As for the other free products... I quite like the coral shaded Glossy Tube - not too sticky, but not much else really.
The two other shimmery pink products just don't appeal to me and seem abit too young for a 22 year old!
All in all though I kind of think it was worth buying the magazine!
Can't say I will becoming a loyal reader of Shout any time soon though!
Might have to pick this up! Thanks for the post :) xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely nail polish, shame it isn't in the regular range. Man, I didn't know Shout even still existed, I used to love that when I was about 11!
ReplyDeleteOooh brilliant find! But probably wont invest. I know you get a lot of products but I will only probably use the nail polish and I aint paying £5 for it especially since I know a lot of people will be buying it and flogging it on eBay soon after.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is in the regular range, 297 blue glitter.
ReplyDeletepretty nail polish =)
ReplyDeleteI saw this and was tempted. But then i didn't invest because i thought i probably wouldn't use anything other than the polish.

I have already purchsed this for the nail polish as well really , its such a great colour for christmas. I have also been uusing the shimmer stick thing on my lower water line
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what them put with the teen magazines know. I always find my self thinking why don't you get a nice free nail kit with the grown up mag's so not fair. I will get this and if asked say it's for my little sister haha, I was shocked to see how fashion forward they are now and they do budget fashion ... I think people forget that all we had was Topshop and there was no primark , etc so I never could afford anything in J17 or Sugar etc.... I recall wanting a dress that was £45 even now that is pricey and I was only 13 at the time.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that they do these for girls now .. but still £4:99 is alot, it's so different now I guess teens have more money. Still good for us, will have to pop out to get this later thanks for sharing Fee xxxxx
LOL, i'm only 16 and even I haven't bought Shout in years! Thanks for telling us about the freebies, i might buy it for old times sake haha(:,xxx
ReplyDeleteomggg £4.99!! it only used to be like 99p when I was 10! lovely nail varnish though :) xo
ReplyDeleteYou can probably buy that colour of nail polish on the Barry M website, they seem to have them all! I'm not sure £4.99 is worth it as I probably would only use the polish!
ReplyDeleteNice freebie, especially the nail polish! :) x
ReplyDeletethanks fo the heads up :)

It's not 297 blue glitter or any of the other glitter nail varnishes they have on the website. I'd say it's purple, not blue.
ReplyDelete£4.99??? wow! I remember my older sister used to buy it in her teens and it was 80p. They used to always give free Collection 2000 make up with it.
ReplyDeleteBut hey, you get free make up with this one :D
