Models Own New Hedkandi Shades!

Some more exciting new nail polishes from Models Own today with two new additions to the Hedkandi collection just in time for warmer weather and also the festival season! 

The original Models Own Hedkandi collection consisted of 5 nail polishes - 3 opaque shades and two glitters (which you can see in the above image - Ibiza Mix and Disco Heaven). That was a year ago now... oh how time flies, and Models Own are adding two more amazing shades to the collection with Bora Bora, a fine golden textured polish that replicates glistening white sands and Sunset Chillout, a multifaceted glitter bomb which is perfect for the party season.

Bora Bora - Hedkandi Collection 

First up we have Bora Bora which is a lightly textured shimmering gold nail polish that is similar to the Liquid Sands by OPI. As this is a textured polish it does feel slighly different to apply to the nails however application is just as easy and only needs two coats. 

This is a totally stunning nail polish however I do feel against my own pale skin tone is doesn't stand out. So for me this is definitely one that comes to life with a tan or against darker skin. So a perfect on for summer and holidays in the sun for me! Though I did also try Bora Bora with Sunset Chillout and it worked well as a base nail polish for the glitter.

 

Sunset Chillout - Hedkandi Collection

Next up is Sunset Chillout which is a total party glitter. I personally feel Models Own do the best glitter nail polish on the high street and this one doesn't fail to impress. The multi faceted glitter applies fairly evenly to give an even amount of glitter over each nail in just a single coat. Here I have paired it with Bubblegum from the recent Ice Neon collection which I think looks great and perfect for summer but I could see Sunset Chillout looking amazing paired with some of the opaque shades in the Hedkandi collection such as Balearic Cool and Beach Party.

Both new shades are just perfect for spring/summer on the fingers and toes and I can definitely see Sunset Chillout being a big hit come festival time as it really is such a fun nail polish.

 

 The two new nails polishes are priced at the usual £5 each and can be found at the Westfield Bottleshop right now. They can also be purchased online from April 15th on the Models Own website and Boots stores nationwide from April 17th.
