June is here, which for me says it's officially summer! So I thought I would do a small round up of some fairly new pretty pink products.
I find pink shades are easiest to pull off in summer and always work well with my pale skin. From a full on vivid pink lip to lightly flushed pink cheeks or even fluro pink nails, I am always sporting a touch of pink without even thinking about it.
Color Club are fast becoming my favourite nail polish brand due to the amazing shades and ultra glossy finish. Warhol (£6.99 - eBay here) is an amazing bright fluro pink that seems to somehow appear brighter in the sun, making it ideal to wear on the toes with sandals.
I have a few hot pinks shades in my nail polish collection - Models Own Pink Punch, China Glaze Wicked Style but Color Club Warhol just tips it for me on the glossy finish and easy application. But all three pink shades are amazing!
What is your favourite pink nail polish for summer?
Sleek blushers have always impressed me on pigmentation and of course price but the recent addition of the Blush by 3 palettes has really made me love Sleek that bit more.
The new Blush by 3 in Sweet Cheeks from the Limited Edition Candy Collection consists of a cream blusher (Cupcake), a shimmer (Candy Floss) and a matte (Dolly Mix) making it a perfect trio of blushers to try out. When first trying this out I expected to love Cupcake the most as I can't get enough of cream blushers however I actually love all three shades. Cupcake is the brightest and most pigmented making it ideal for summer, Dolly Mix is a soft matte lilac pink which is perfect for a soft flushed spring look and Candy Floss is another bright blusher which has a lovely coral tone to it with gold shimmer (this reminds me of a brighter rose gold!).
If you are a lover of blush then this is a total must!
Sleek's Candy Collection is available 5th June from Superdrug stores and Sleek online. Blush by 3 Sweet Cheeks will be priced at £9.99 and limited edition. So if you want it, snap it up!
There is no denying I'm more than a little late to the Lip Butter party but I'm finally on the wagon now with Sorbet - a perfect wearable pink shade that is ideal for summer.
This shade is without a doubt a pink anyone call pull off and it can be worn as just a tint to the lips or you can build up the color for a more bold lip as you can see with my lip swatch. So this is definitely a versatile shade for both day and night in summer. Also the formula is ideal for summer due to it being hydrating on the lips and non-sticky. The only thing I have noticed is that the lip butters do cling to dry skin so using a good lip balm or lip scrub is needed before applying the butters.
You can find Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in Sorbet for £7.99 from Boots, Superdrug and various supermarkets.
A few other pink staples are - Lush Liquid Lipstick in Passionate , the most pigmented vivid lip colour I own! Sinful Colors Nail Polish in 24/7, an amazing fluro pink for £1.99. Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels, a perfect peachy pink blush.
I would love to know which pink products you like to wear in summer.
This is actually my 1,000th blog post! I'm not sure how I have managed to write so many on the topic of makeup in 3 years but 1,000 posts is a huge milestone for me!
