The Lipstick Tag

For the past 3 years I have been claiming I'm not that into lipsticks. But my makeup collection definitely disagrees and I'm slowly believing I may be a closet lipstick lovers. 

So today I thought I would do a lipstick tag that was created by Maxi of The Lipstick Blog, who is also someone that very much aids my lipstick purchases!

How many lipsticks do you own?
 In my head I imagined the figure to be around the 50 mark... but in reality I have 83, not including the ones I missed when counting them all. That's a lotta' lipstick right there!

 

What was your first ever lipstick?

I'm not sure on the exact shade but I'm pretty sure it was a Boots Natural Collection lipstick as they were the most affordable at the time and thankfully pretty good. 

What is your favourite brand for lipstick?

Oh, that is a tough one! It would probably have to be NYX Round Lipsticks as the formula is so creamy and the shade range is unbelievable. But I do love MAC and Clarins lipsticks as a treat. 
 
What is your most worn lipstick? 
It has to be Vivo Barely There. This is a perfect nude for my skin tone and I absolutely love the finish and lightweight feel of it on my lips. If you have pale skin then I urge you to purchase this!

What is your favourite finish? 
I love cream finish lipsticks that are hydrating. I find them the most comfortable to wear and apply. 

What was the last lip product you bought?

I purchased Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss in Shade 13, Rimmel Moisture Renew in Sweetheart Tulips and Astor Shine Deluxe Lipstick in Rich all from Fragrance Direct, recently. Really pleased with them all!
 

How many lip products do you currently have in your handbag? 
(Including balms and glosses) 
Why did you have to include lip balms and glosses Maxi?! That would be eight...

How do you store your lipsticks?

My everyday favourite lipsticks are stored in one of my clear Muji storage drawers on my desk.. which stores roughly 22 lipsticks. Then the rest are sadly all throw into a plastic storage tower as I just don't have anywhere else to store them. 

What lipstick do you use to rock a red lip?
Diego Dalle Palma Wicked Queen which is a bright and highly pigmented red. Though I also love Lush Emotional Brilliance Liquid Lipstick in Decisive.

 

What lip products are you currently lusting after? 
I surprisingly don't lust after lip products really and just buy lipsticks when I spot shades that appeal to me. But I would like to add a few more MAC lipsticks to my collection in some staple shades. Such as a classic red with Ruby Woo, a hot pink with either Yum Yum or Show Orchid and for a nude I'd maybe have to go with Creme Cup.
