NOTD - Sinful Colors Island Coral & Avon Gold Flecked

The sun is shining today so I thought I would paint my nails a lovely shade of coral and add a bit of glitter!

If you ditch the Seche Vite (which isn't that needed) this is a low budget manicure as both polishes come in at under £5 together! This is exactly why I never spend a lot on nail polish as you really cannot tell how pricey or not pricey, as this case may be, the nail polish is.

I decided to go with Sinful Colors Island Coral as 1) It's new and I hadn't tried it before 2) I love the shade of it 3) Fool proof application even when you are outside and can't see what you're doing because of the sun!

I actually don't own many coral shades so this will be a great staple in my collection, amazing for only £1.99 (Boots - here, both on-line & in-stores). Other coral shades polishes from Sinful Colors include - Boogie Nights and for a brighter coral, Hazard is a perfect shade.

For the gold glitter I decided to apply it from the base of the nail just to do something different and I actually feel it looks nicer than applying it to the tips of the nails. To do this you just blob some of the nail polish near the base of the nail and sweep up, it's as simple as that! Though I do add a clear top coat to merge the two nail polishes together. The glitter I used here was Avon Color Trend Dazzlers Top Coat in Gold Flecked £3.00 (Avon - here) which I really do love as a glitter polishes (just the right chunky glitter to fine glitter ratio!).

As some of you may notice I do have much shorter nails, shorter nails than I've had in a long time in fact! This is due to doing a few too many nail looks for Avon recently and it just took it's toll on my nails, so I decided to start again. So any nail treatment recommendations for faster growing nails is much appreciated!

You can find two of my nails looks up on the Avon blog here & here!
