Are you Ready for Spring?

Beauty_Spring_2014

Warmer weather, brighter nights, blue skies and singing birds! Spring is nearly upon us and I for one am seriously looking forward to many things the change of season will bring.

Weather and blue skies aside, Spring in the world of beauty means new trends, pastel nails and fresh looking makeup.

Pastel Nails & Bold Lips
My quickest way of embracing early Spring in pastel manicures and bright lips. On my nails I am looking forward to wearing a pastel medley with the Ciate Doll House Nail Polish Set (seen above). Though I am also intrigued by some of the shades in the new Barry M Silk Collection. As for bright lips I know I will be all over lip crayons to give that pop of colour to my face but without the look on anything too creamy/glossy on my lips. Without a doubt I need to try out the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons but I can't see anything swaying my love of the MUA Power Pout Lip Balm Pens - 'Justify' being my favourite shade.

Spring Fragrance
Fragrance is another easy way to step into Spring. My favourite springtime scent will be purchased - Sarah Jessica Parker 'Lovely' as it's such a lovely powdery floral scent that fits the weather perfectly. But I will also be heading to The Body Shop to pick up some Body Mists which are ideally priced and comes in some great scents - my favourites being Moringa and Pink Grapefruit.

Rosy Blush & Radiant Skin
Another way of changing makeup from winter to spring it to reach for radiance enhancing base products. Only last week I wrote a post on products for lack lustre skin here so I will be continuing to use the N Spa Illuminating Beauty Serum, my current favourite base product to give a glow to the skin, and for highlighting the high points of my face either Benefit Girl Meets Pearl for a natural glow or MUA Highlighting Powder which is an amazing product for the price. As for cheeks, cream blush is perfect for spring - my favourites being the Topshop Cream Blush and Bourjois Cream Blushers

Hopefully this has given a little inspiration for Spring!

What are your favourite products to use come warmer weather?

Fee xo.

For spring, I don't really change up my make-up routine besides maybe using more pink-toned lip products. I do switch to fresher and more energizing scents as the hours of sunshine slowly increase and the temperatures rise. Bringing color back into my wardrobe is another plus of spring. I'm curious about that SJP fragrance though, it sounds lovely (no pun intended).
not really looking to spring here in aus, but autumn hopefully is on its merry way..
