Beauty Favourites (Part 1) - March 2014

Beauty_Favourites_2014

Finally getting around to sharing my March favourites! Last month I tried out quite a few new products that I absolutely loved so I'm pretty excited for this post!

As usual I have way too many favourites so have decided to split this post into two parts with my makeup favourites below.

MUA Power Pout Lip Tints
£3 each - Superdrug
For the entirety of March I was all about easy to wear lip products and my go-to choice was the amazing MUA Power Pout Balms. Above are my favourite shades that just glide over the lips with a nice amount of pigmentation that can be built up. These remind me so much of the Revlon Balm Stains with the mint scent and good pigmentation. Without a doubt worth the money. I currently have a note down on my phone to pick up a few more when in Superdrug next.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
£20.00 - Look Fantastic here
A palette here that I've been so in love with since purchasing it a few months ago. A dream palette for fans of neutral and matte eyeshadows with only of of the shades being a semi-matte eyeshadows (Venus). Aside from my love of the size of the palette and the amazing finely milled textures this palette for me contains all the shades I need day-to-day. I use the lightest shade with Venus as a base then Naked 2 and Faint blended in the crease. I also love to use Faint on my eyesbrows and Crave as smoked out liner on my top lashline. If you already own one of the Naked palettes but want to purchase another from the Naked range but are unsure which then I really would recommend the Basics palette.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory
£9.99 - Boots here
My go-to spring base product here! This was an unnecessary purchase but after reading so many good reviews I felt I needed it, so was pleased when it lived up to everything I had read. This is a light base ideal for concealing redness and perking up the skin. Although this feels lights, the coverage is quite good and can be built up... I've been especially doing this around my nose and chin where I get a quite a bit of redness. I've always loved Bourjois foundations and still love the Healthy Mix Foundation but this is definitely my new favourite for spring when I want to look like I'm wearing little on my skin.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter
£3.00 - Superdrug here
The MUA Highlighting Powder has been a favourite of mine for over a year now and recently I've got back into wearing it every time I apply my makeup. This is a perfect highlighter for applying to the tops of the cheeks giving a lovely champagne/pearl glow to the skin. A beautiful product from MUA that everyone should try at only £3!

Benefit The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine
£23.50 - Boots here
A product I was unsure whether to include of not as for the price this product does have it's faults and quite a few of them. But after using the powder for nearly 2 months now it has become a handbag staple for powder touch-ups when I'm looking a little oily on the T-zone. This super travel friendly finely milled powder comes with a handy brush in the base of the packaging making this ideal for throwing in your bag and using when needed. The powder itself is great for mattifying the skin, though I wouldn't say it does anything at concealing pores and I kind of feel Benefit are just playing on the success of The Porefessional Primer. If you do get oily during the day and aren't one for carrying around a pressed powder and brush then this may just be worth it - I personally needed that! But as a powder for your makeup routine I will admit there are much less expensive powders out there or ones that offer more product for your money.

Part 2 of my March Favourites up tomorrow with my skincare, nail polish and bodycare picks.

Fee xo.
