Luxury Favourites (That I Feel Are Worth It!)

Luxury-beauty-products-reviewed

Surprising at it is I'm not a full-on scrooge when it comes to makeup. Yes, I love high street/drugstore makeup fiercely but sometimes you can't beat a luxe treat.

From beautiful packaging to the quality, specific products are worth them extra pounds. And with the gap in price between high-street and high-end ever closing that does make for an easier decision at times!

So today I thought I'd share with you a few luxury products from my collection, both new and old, that I really do treasure and wholly recommend. I'd also love to know your own luxury favourites as I'm always on the lookout for more incredible products!

Guerlain-Baby-Glow-Review

Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow Sheer Foundation (02 Light)
£31.95 - Escentual HERE
A wonderful light spring foundation here. I personally love my foundations like this and with a dewy glow so this was a perfect match for me. Only a little is needed over the entire face as it glides over the skin nicely and blends with the fingers to a very light dewy finish. As for the shade is the perfect balance, neither too yellow or too pink which should suit most skin tones. This also lasts all day on me and stays looking dewy without becoming oily! Overall a beautiful spring/summer foundation that flatters the skin and glows from within. The only thing I would point out is that the foundation smells quite strongly of violets, now I love violets and the Guerlain Insolance fragrance is a favourite of mine, but this is strong! I personally don't mind it, though I'm surprised they went so strong, but I know some would hate this... definitely something to bear in mind!

YSL Touche Eclat Rock Lace Limited Edition (Shade 01)
£25.00 - Feel Unique HERE
Touche Eclat is the one concealer that I've been purchasing on and off for the last 10 years, in fact I'm sure it was my first ever high end purchase aside from perfume! I've probably gone through 7+ now! So why is it so special and worth the £25 price tag? Well not only is it a freaking amazing brightening concealer that works wonders under the eyes and at the corner but it can be used all over as a brightening concealer/highlighter. This seriously works wonders on my face when I'm tired! It also has so many other uses that most people don't seem to know about - it can be used as an eye primer, mixed with eye shadows to turn it into a cream shadow that's also more matte and to enhance the lips; all things I use it for. I also recently found out that you use one of the darker shades (shade 05 or 06 for fair skin) to contour with, which I can imagine working amazingly well. Not sure I dare purchase another on just yet though!

REN-Rose-Gold-Dry-Oil

REN Moroccan Rose Gold Glow Perfect Dry Oil
£26.00 - Space NK HERE
Dry Oils are my thang. Actually I love all body oils but there is just something about a dry oil that is luxurious but also practical. You can step out of the shower apply a dry oil and not feel like a basted turkey. You can also apply it to dry skin and even hair to give a glossy sheen, so as you can see - practical and multi-purpose! But what is so amazing about this oil? Well the dry oil texture is perfectly light yet nourishing, it gives the skin a subtle glowy finish and it smells beyond amazing! In fact I wish REN would bring out a fragrance of this very scent! I would try to explain the scent but I haven't got a clue what it is but it's certainly not a Moroccan rose scent, it's just subtle and exotic. Yes, I told you I didn't have a clue how to explain it! I love, love, love using this after a shower to give my skin a lovely sheen but as this doubles up as a hair finishing product I really feel it's a good price.

Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Rosepout
£18.50 - Illamasqua HERE
I just had to include my favourite nude lipstick as well it's my favourite nude and I love nudes! This wonderful lipstick is everything I ask for in a lip colour - creamy yet long lasting, great pigmentation and comfortable to wear. It also looks amazing on pale skin tones and works with all makeup looks. I wasn't too sure a slightly darker nude would work with my fair complexion but this has to be the most flattering nude shade I own. Just stunning!

Sara-Happ-Lip-Sugar-Scrub

Clarins Mineral Loose Powder (02 Medium)
£26.40 - Escentual HERE
When I talk about this powder it feels like Groundhog Day as I've mentioned it so damn much over the past few years. I actually think I'll be mentioning it for years to come as this product literally will last years - it's a 30g powder after all! To me this is the most perfect powder - it's light, nearly transculent, diffusing and soft. Plus of course it sets makeup and mattifies the skin perfectly. I think I still haven't got over how well this diffuses the skin as each time I dust this over my face with a fluffy powder brush I marvel at how nice my skin looks. £26.00 does seem a little steep for powder however when it's this good and will last years I think it's totally worth it!

Sara Happ Vanilla Bean Lip Scrub
£19.00 - Beauty Bay HERE
Lastly a lip scrub to rule them all. Well I say to rule them all but lips scrubs are few and far between in the UK. It's either make do with Lush's dry and underwhelming offerings, make your own or go luxe and buy a Sara Happ Lip Scrub. For me this is comparable to a good body scrub, it removes dead skin with ease and without being harsh and leaves a slight oil/balmy feel to the lips to keep them nourished. But on top of this it's freaking tasty! Like I actually eat this stuff after I've massaged it into my lips, tasty. If you suffer from constant dry lips like myself then this is the perfect treat. And again it's a product that will last you years!

Hope you've enjoyed this slightly more spendy blog post!

Fee xo.
