Today I thought I'd do a blog post I haven't done in years. Actually I don't think I've ever done a 'What's in My Makeup Bag' post but a 'What's in My Bag' post.
The reason for doing this now is because in the last month I decided to actually keep my makeup bits in one place in a makeup bag rather than have them floating around in random pockets of my bag and at the bottom amongst the crumbs and receipts!

So I'm now using a small Ted Baker cosmetics bag that I kindly received for Christmas and I love it. It's just the right size to keep in my handbag without taking up much room and it definitely keeps everything together... very handy if you are after a tissue or a hair tie - you know exactly where it is! Side note - my actual handbag is the ASOS Structured Shopper (£28.00 - ASOS here).
What's in my On-the-Go Makeup Bag?
Fragrance
Keeping a perfume or two in my bag is a must as I find that scents don't often last all day on me. My favourite go-to scent right now is Guarlain Insolence (£24 - The Fragrance Shop here) as it smells like parma violets and I also have a mini bottle of Cartier Delices De Cartier which isn't a popular scent but one I love and also have a full-size bottle of.
Touch-ups
I've never been the type of girl to carry a lot of makeup around with me and touch-up foundation etc throughout the day. But I do always carry concealer because as the day wears on I find makeup does wear off slightly to reveal dark circles or blemishes. My favourite brightening concealer is YSL Touche Eclat (£25.00 - Boots here) so I keep it in my bag at all times to touch up under my eyes and the odd blemish that can comes through. I also carry the lip product I'm wearing that day - so a you can see the last time I went out I was wearing MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Tint in French Violet (£2.00 - Superdrug here).
Lip Products
My handbag is never without random lip products from too many lip balms to various lip glosses. On the go I'm not much of a lipstick kinda' gal but prefer to touch up with a comfortable non-sticky lip gloss such as one of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector's that are just lovely, or a simple glossy lip balm which at the moment for me is Elemis Fresh Skin Loving Lips Lip Balm (£4.99 - Superdrug here).
Extras
On to other essentials, I always have to have a variety of hair ties in my makeup bag, my favourites being from Popband (here) and Invisibobble (£3.75 - Feel Unique here). Tissues and blotting paper from Paul & Joe are also a must and a mini hair brush from Denman that I received in a beauty box.
For a beauty junkie I think my makeup bag is pretty minimal and simple! I'd love to know what you keep in your own bag and if it's in a makeup bag or all over the place!
Fee xo.
