Over the past year or so I've come to love Zoeva, not only for their brushes but for their Spectrum palettes. And finally they have branched out to face palettes with the Zoeva Concealer and Contour Spectrum palettes! Both of which launch on Monday, 12th September - so you really don't have long to wait!
I've been lucky enough to test out the new palettes for the past few weeks and they have both slotted into my makeup routine with ease... because who doesn't need a bit of contour in their life, and I was after a better shade range of concealers for my multi-tonal skin! Below you can find my thoughts on the two new palettes, plus swatches!
Zoeva Concealer Spectrum Palette
£18 - Zoeva UK
This 9-pan concealer palette aims to camouflage under eye darkness and conceal discolouration, spots and blemishes... and with it's creamy high-coverage formula is does just that. Of course not all the shades will be user-friendly whether you have light, medium or dark skin however there are multiple shades in here for everyone, and dependent on your skin tone a few of the shades work as eyeshadow bases and cream contour!
Having fair skin I've been using mainly the top two rows with the centre pan being my favourite for under eye concealing as it's full coverage and you really do need just a little. I've also surprised myself and enjoyed using the white shade, just a dab blended out over the eyelid to brighten the skin and create a good base for eyeshadows.
As with all Zoeva makeup products expect well thought out shades and quality formula. At £18 this works out at £2 per concealer which is excellent value for money. I also can't help but think this would be a great addition to a makeup artists kit!
Zoeva Contour Spectrum Palette
£15 - Zoeva UK
Now this is one thought out palette (see, this is why I love Zoeva!) with a complete contour palette that includes - a highlighter, a setting powder and two contouring shades. All with a matte/satin finish.
Having used this palette every time I applied my makeup over the past few weeks, I can say that the highlighter is the star of the show. Yes, it doesn't look anything special at all in the swatch (3rd down) but highlighters aren't easy to capture in this kind of image, so you will have to trust me when I say that this highlighter has the wow factor. With gold and almost lilac pigments that reflects beautifully and really is something you're unlikely to have in your collection already. Once this palette launches I will be sure to scour Instagram and link to an image showing it to it's full potential!
As for the contour shades I find neither to have orange tones to them, always good, and the bottom shade to be perfectly ashy and ideal for some serious contouring! All shades are well pigmented, light in texture and with zero powdery fall out when you swirl your brush over the pan. Again more than impressed with this palette.
If you are looking for makeup artist standard products than I would seriously look no further than the Zoeva Spectrum collection. It really does have everything you could need, especially with these two new additions!
