A Christmas gift guide so soon I hear you cry! Yes! I'm in the Christmas spirit and I'm already unashamedly playing Justin Bieber's Christmas CD on repeat - I'm actually not joking. So I thought why not put up a mini Christmas gift guide.
Talking all things gifts related I feel with each Christmas, brands are even more on it with gifts and gift sets... which is amazing! It means you can find that perfect present for everyone you are buying for. However when it comes to actually decided and looking through thousands of products per website it can take hours and become headache inducing.
Which is why websites such as Octer that allow you to find products from multiple websites (200 to be precise!) in a single search are great! Yes, you could just use Google but can't set a price limit and I always find myself on U.S sites instead of UK ones! And with a bazillion beauty gift sets on the market I thought I would put October to the test with their kind complimentary budget of £60 and create a bit of an affordable beauty gift set guide. As I love to be savvy I decided to hunt down beauty gifts for under £20 from brands that you wouldn't normally think of as low end... and I think I did pretty well, with gifts sets from Nails Inc, Victoria's Secret, Clarins and Korres. Below are all the gift sets in detail and where you can pick them up from online... I'm totally loving the Clarins mini lip kit gift I found!
Nails Inc Nail Candy Cane Set
£15.00 - Exclusive to John Lewis HERE
Every year I either give or receive a festively themed Nail Inc set because they really are well thought out with generally festive/winter shades and also affordable. I loved this set for the look of it but also because it contains 3 wearable shades that are perfect for Christmas Day nails and then through winter. The mini 5ml nail polishes include St James (red), Chasing Chelsea (nude) and Soho Strutting (gold glitter) which of course can be mixed and matched. This is a lovely gift for only £15 that definitely looks more sizable due to the packaging and could be gifted to a nail lover friend or family member along with some chocolates.
Victoria's Secret Love Addict Gift Set
£12.00 - Superdrug HERE
For quite some time now the Victoria's Secret body mists have been in the UK and I for one love them! Heavenly scented and just fun to spritz on in place of a perfume sometimes. So I was super excited to see that Superdrug now stock the US brand and even some mini sets that are such good value for money. The star of the show in the gift set is of course the fragrance mist which is half the size (125ml) of the standard VS fragrance mist (which normally costs £10) so you're getting a good amount. You also receive the matching hydrating body lotion and body wash in 50ml travel sizes, plus a shower puff with a branded Victoria's Secret branded ribbon. As for the 'Love Addict' scent expect quite a floral fragrance as it contains wild orchid and blood orange. However there are two more scents to pick from 'Pure Suduction' here and 'Love Spell' here. This would make a lovely gift for someone in their late teens or anyone that loves the VS fragrance mists already.
Clarins Lip Makeup Collection Gift Set
£20.00 - John Lewis HERE
Each year for Christmas, Clarins come out with a few more affordable gift sets and this is one of them. I featured a similar set last year which I thoroughly enjoyed using and this year I actually love it even more. First of all the red quilted mini makeup bag is just gorgeous in both look and feel plus it's the ideal size for keeping in your handbag to store all your makeup bits and essentials in one place. Then you have the 4 mini Clarins lip products - two Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors (5ml) in Rose Shimmer & Rosewood Shimmer, which are a joy to apply due to the soft applicator and so comfortable on the lips, and two Joli Rouge Lipstick minis (1.5g) in Soft Berry and Raspberry that really are just stunning and the perfect shades to wear during winter. I know from comments in the past that some find the mini lipsticks to not contain enough product and I totally agree and would love to see them around 3g per mini however you do get quite a bit of use from each lipstick and it's almost a way of trying before you buy I find. But it is worth bearing in mind the volume amounts before you buy this!
Korres The Greatest Mini Shower Gel Collection
£12.00 - ASOS HERE
Another really affordable set I came across thanks to Octor was this lovely gift of mini shower gels from Korres. Not only is this a sizable gift, around 30cm in length but the packaging looks quite luxury. Perfect for the person that travels frequently or just loves Korres and hasn't sampled all the shower gel scents they offer. The set contains 6 x 40ml shower gel minis in total and the scents include - Santorini Vine, Basil Lemon, Bergamot Pear, Guave (my favourite scent!), Japanese Rose and Fig. I'm really impressed this this gift set for the price and I'm currently resisting keeping it for myself!
Hopefully this post just goes to show you can find some low price gift sets from luxury brands!
Let me know which would be your favourite gift to receive here!
Fee xo.
