What Was The Last Beauty Product You Bought & Disliked?

Ever get excited about a new product launch, treat yourself to it, only to find out it's just a bit 'meh'?

I did exactly that last week.

And it sucked.

After looking for a new pair of jeans on the ASOS website and becoming overwhelmed by the 800+ choices I did was I always do when on ASOS for more than 5 minutes, I checked the 'new in' beauty section. This is when I 'ooo'd' over the fact that Yes To have new products out that I didn't have a clue about.

Fast forward roughly 24 hours and my DPD delivery man handed me an ASOS parcel containing - A useful pair of touch screen magic gloves (because it's freakin' freezing right now), The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%, the cutest trinket dish you ever did see and Yes To Argan Lip Oil.

Surprisingly the Yes To Lip Oil was the most expensive item of my order at £7.99. But I figured I love Yes To (generally), I can't get enough of argan oil based products and I'd never tried a lip oil before which must be more nourishing than a balm, or so I thought! On applying the lip oil for the first time I was surprised at the slightly sticky lipgloss-like texture and the pretty boring argan scent... but as long as it hydrated and moisturised my lips I could overlook them things! Did it hydrate or moisturised? Nope.

Basically, the lip oil gives the lips a nice sheen and the feeling that the oil is nourishing them but within 30 minutes it's soaked in and your lips are as they were prior to application. A bit fat fail really! I had so much hope for this product. I will of course continue to try out new Yes To products as I generally enjoy them, but sadly it just wasn't to be this time. But it now has me wondering if this is the same with all lip oils? If you have tried any lip oils before let me know how you've got on with them!

So there you have it, my latest failed beauty buy!

I'd be interested to know what your last beauty product fail was in the comments below. 1. Because I'm nosy 2. So I can avoid it!

Fee xo.

For me the biggest fail of 2016 was Urban Decay All Nighter foundation. I tried for 2 months to make it work for me because on the paper it looked like ideal for my oily skin. But even if I learned how to make it look good after the application, every time I checked my face within two hours, it looked horrible. And as I wear make-up to look better not worse than my natural self, I ditched it.

Same here! Marketed as an oily skin dream yet it broke up on me like crazy! Never been so disappointed in a product considering foundations for dry skin last longer on me!
Thankfully we can return beauty products here in Canada if we dislike them, but I did buy an Essence mascara a few months back that went straight in the bin after the first use!

I bought an Essence eye shadow primer, gone in two hours, eyeshadow that is. Noooo good at all. Bummer.
I actually found that I don't like the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer as much as everyone else does. IT's so hyped up and I'm just like...eh...it's creasing.

Just bought the e.l.f. highlighter palette that a lot of people seemed to like. I guess mine's a dud because it looks like chalk on the skin and has ZERO shimmer. Zero.

Haha oh no! But it looks so damn tempting! I love the Clarins lip oil and even the Essence one, they feel a bit funny when you put them on but do hydrate I think! What a shame x
looks like a very interesting product!

I recently bought the Diorskin Forever foundation and it just isn't what I expected. Too bad this product failed for you! I always hate it when that happens because you waste your money on something that just isn't good!
Oh what a shame!
Omg I thought the exact same thing!!!! You absolutely MUST try the Milani Moisture Lock Oil it's a world in difference to this Yes To one.
I now use the Yes To lip oil in the morning before my commute so by the time I get to work they're moisturised and I apply a lip colour.
I use the Milani one before bed and I wake up with incredible lips.

For my dry lips even Milani Lip Oil is not working as good hydrating lip care, mostly like lip gloss.. What shade do you have, wondering if there is differences :)? I have pink one, Rashberry I think..
Oh no that's crazy dry! I have protecting pomegranate!
I'm also disappointed with Yes to Primrose Lip Oil, but LOVE Yes to Coconut Cooling Lip Oil! Do you like Ordinary products, have you tried others than Vitamin C Suspencion? And what's your skin type :)? ..Mine is so dry & sensitive, esp. in winter :/ Would love to see your Ordinary review too?
I have a YSL lip oil gloss thing which has colour in it, which is meant to be super nourishing. I love the feel of it, and the more you apply it the more intense and fresh the colour becomes. But it dries my lips out. Sorry I can't remember what it's called. I still use it because I like the colour of it (I went for a strong pink shade) and it costs me about £26 but I definitely notice how dry my lips are afterwards.
Nars Creamy Concealer. Doesn't settle in the fine lines under the eyes apparently. Only it does.
I like the quality of these beauty products.
Really Enjoyed this blog post . Really Thanks you !
