Come even a hint of sunshine I'm all about a flattering sweep of colour on my cheeks. The right shade of blush can instantly pick up a complexion while also soften the face in my opinion.
Basically what I'm trying to say is blushers are a big deal for me come the summer months. Taking up quite the space in my acrylic makeup drawers I'm a bit spoilt for choice, however, I do have a few staples that stand out from the rest, which I really wanted to share with you today.
Meet my three favourite face-flattering blushers...
Benefit GALifornia Blusher £24.50
Possibly the blusher of summer 2017! I mean the packaging alone gives nothing but summer vibes, am I right? Described by Benefit as a sunny golden-pink blush, this really is the blush to lift a dull complexion and add a hit of summer to your makeup. Once the gold spray has been used on the first application you are left with a pinky peach demi-matte vibrant blush that looks different on all skin tones but is universally flattering. Whether you go for a gilded smokey eye or barely their makeup this blush with always enhance. Side note - I'm also thinking the hint of grapefruit and vanilla helps to make this my go-to summer shade.
Milani Blossom Time Rose Powder Blush £12.00
If you are looking for a soft flattering blush and a beautiful one at that, then look no further than with Milani Blossom Time Rose. Possibly the most gorgeous looking blusher I own, this is a product I have to limit how much I reach for it, simply because I don't want ruin in! Aside from the stunning rose design, the blusher is much more than it appears to be in the compact. Depending on how much you apply this appear as a flush of pink with a subtle gold glow or quite a golden peach vivid blush that surprisingly works well as an eyeshadow. Just such a stunning blusher all round.
Bourjois Cream Blush Nude Velvet 01 £6.98
Lastly a lovely cream blush offering, ideal for pale skinned girls. This simple cream to powder formula gives a lovely wash of nude coral colour that stays well on the skin. It's also a perfect dupe for Benefit Majorette cream blusher - which makes it totally worth buying in my opinion! If you are looking for something that's easy to blend and without shimmer then this and the whole range really is worth looking at. Sadly no longer available on the high street but at least Amazon has our back with the entire cream blush range!
Have I tempted you with a new summer blusher?
