With Autumn in full swing, you may still be considering an overhaul on your makeup bag. Along with a switch up of your skincare routine, there's still time to rethink your base makeup, opting for longer lasting more full coverage products, to adding a few berry toned lip colours in there.
However, the one item that can make the most difference and possibly the most fun to treat yourself to is a new eyeshadow palette. Rich in tone to reflect the seasonal change and ideal for taking you through to the colder months.
Below you will find five rich eyeshadow palettes perfect for autumn/winter to suit all budgets...
MAC 'Burgundy Times Nine' Eyeshadow Palette £21.25 HERE
This travel-friendly palette has been one of my autumn/winter staples for a few years now and it frankly doesn't receive enough coverage online in my opinion. My initial reason for buying this 9-pan eyeshadow palette was to try out a wide range of MAC powder eyeshadows but without the cost (each pan works out at an amazing £2.70) so I didn't expect to adore every single shade nor fall in love with it. But fall in love with it I did, and although I consistantly use a few of the shades this is without a doubt the palette I come back to time and time again as soon as the leaves start to fall. With an equal mix of shimmer and matte shades in some gorgeous rich burgundy and warm neutral hues this really is a stunning eyeshadow palette for creating quite a lot of eye looks with. If you are looking for something compact this autumn then this is the eyeshadow palette to go for. Currently reduced from £25.00 to £21.25 here.
Zoeva Cafe Eyeshadow Palette £17.50 HERE
Next, we have a new in for Autumn 2017 palette exclusive to Zoeva and also limited edition. This stunning palette is not only affordable but contains an exquisite assortment of coffee-toned shades. Fans of Zoeva can expect the usual creamy highly pigmented shades in a range of shimmer and matte finishes and anyone new to the affordable brand is in for a treat with this palette. Bar the not so user-friendly green shade (what were Zoeva thinking?) you can expect to create endless eye looks, along with the pearl shade 'Distinct Experience' doubling up as a brow highlight and the deep brown matte 'Herrengasse' working well to fill in the brows. Such a stunning wearable eyeshadow palette from Autumn!
Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette 'The Dolce Vita' £39.00 HERE
Autumn or not Charlotte Tilbury's The Dolce Vita eyeshadow palette is loved by many and for good reason. Undeniable a luxury treat this is a palette that not only works in the colder months for some seriously smouldering eyes for both day and night but it's also a palette that can be used to create very 'done' eyes for more evening/going-out looks. From the simplistic 4-step guide of Prime - Enhance, Pop, Smoke to the velvet-soft pigmented eyeshadows this won't fail to add a little autumnal glamour into your makeup routine without going overboard. With all four shades adding a level of shimmer to the eyes and suiting all eye colours and skin tones this really is a fool-proof palette, however the two high shimmer shades (top & bottom left pans) are without a doubt my favourite as these emollient based shimmers adhere to the lids amazingly well for maximum colour pay off, staying put all day without creasing or spreading glitter all over the face.Truly a stunning eyeshadow quad.
NYX Lid Lingerie Shadow Palette £8.00 HERE
Going from high end to a budget offering we have one of NYX's more recent eyeshadow palettes from the Lingerie collection. With 6 large pans in a range of neutral matte shades, this offers something a little different at a very affordable price point. Having previously compared this to the much pricier Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics eyeshadow palette this is an eyeshadow compact I've been getting a lot of use from, especially the burnt orange and neutral heather shade. Although you can't expect luxury with this palette you can be guaranteed of some silky matte shades that are perfect for this time of year.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette £39.50 HERE
Saving the best till last I had to include the hottest Urban Decay launched of 2017 within this round-up. Released this summer I instantly had it down as my autumn/winter palette and on even first swatch I knew it would be true. Containing 12 luxurious warm rich toned shade in both matte and shimmer finishes this truly is a palette of dreams. Like all other UD palettes, you can expect buttery formula's that offer amazing pigmentation and stay crease free all day. With so many shades it's a given that this palette can provide endless eye looks however along 4-5 eyeshadow eye looks I've been using many of the shimmer shades alone over the eyes to really nice results. A truly versatile palette that is cherished within my makeup collection.
