Beauty boxes are certainly nothing new with more and more brands getting on board with the whole concept and trying to do it well. I say 'trying' because a lot seem to miss the mark by including unheard of beauty brands, the same products as other beauty boxes or simply failing to offer anything exciting or worth a monthly or one-off spend!
Which is why I'm pretty fussy when it comes to trying and receiving new beauty boxes and I guess why beauty boxes aren't often featured on Makeup Savvy anymore. But today I thought I'd share with you three beauty boxes, only one of which requires a monthly subscription (you could cancel after your first box, mind), that all offer something different and I feel are very much worth the spend!
Universal Makeup Beauty Box Powdered by Feelunique
BUY HERE £28 (worth £78.91)
Who knew Feel Unique did a beauty box? I know I certainly didn't, even though I'm a regular visitor to the website. But yes, Feel Unique do have there own one-off beauty box, as well as a Skin Glow Edit Box HERE for £24.50. But for me, it's a makeup packed beauty box that interests me so I wanted to share with you the Universal Makeup Beauty Box Powdered by Feel Unique.
This one-off box comes with six products of which four are full-size - not bad! The box consists of - Nude by Nature Translucent Loose Finishing Powder (full size), The Pro Hygiene Collection Antibacterial Makeup Spray (mini). Bourjois Rouge Edition Souffle De Velvet Lipstick in Coquelic'oh! (full size), Elizabeth Arden Lasting Impression Mascara Black (mini), Laura Geller Beauty Spackle Treatment Hydrating Make-Up Primer (full size), PHB Ethical Beauty - Eye liner Pencil in Black (full size) and as you may have guessed will suit all skin tones so it is universal as the name states! You also receive a special discount code to get 15% off the brands featured on your next purchase, which is a pretty nice touch.
Personally I find this a really good value beauty box as it contains a full-size Laura Geller Beauty Spackle Treatment Hydrating Primer which would normally cost £25 alone... so if you've ever wanted to give it a go (it does have cult status after all) then with an extra £3 spend you would be able to receive all the other products within the box as well! Along with the primer, the Nude by Nature Loose Finishing Powder is a favourite and I've been finding the mini antibacterial spray for both brushes and makeup to be really handy. Simply a really good beauty box for the price especially if you've been wanting to try out either the powder or primer!
ASOS Box
BUY HERE £12
A few months ago ASOS launched their very first one-off beauty box for only £12 which seemed to sell out within a few days! I luckily managed to pick one up as soon as I spotted it as I was so pleased with the mix of beauty brands within the box - think Lime Crime, Rimmel and NYX (read my review of the first ASOS Box HERE). They are now on their 3rd beauty box which again is only £12 and purely includes their own brand makeup (I'm sure the next box will be a mix of makeup and skincare brands). Containing five full-size items - eyeliner, mascara, liquid lipstick, blush and an eyeshadow palette worth £41 this is the ideal opportunity to try out ASOS makeup on a budget!
However, if ASOS' own brand makeup doesn't appeal, I know I'm not too interested in it, then I would highly recommend keeping your eyes peeled for their next box which I'm sure will be another fab one filled with a good mix of beauty brands ASOS stock. Again, another pretty hidden and unknown about beauty box that's well worth the spend!
Cohorted The Black Edition Beauty Box
BUY HERE £35.00
Lastly, I wanted to mention a pretty popular beauty box subscription service that some may still not have heard of! As beauty boxes go Cohorted is one of the high spend options but for good reason as each monthly box contains some pretty luxury treat - past boxes have included brands such as Nars, Too Faced, Urban Decay and Clarins! So each month you know your box with be worth a much higher value than what you are paying.
I tried out my first box last month (if you start your subscription in November you will receive your first box in December... the Christmas box!) and was really impressed with the products I received, especially the full-size eyeshadow palette which I've been using non-stop!
This is without a doubt a beauty box for the true beauty addict, you just need to look at Cohorted's past boxes to see why,and if that is you then I highly recommend this box.

Let me know if you've tried out any of the beauty boxes I've mentioned or simply let me know which is your prefered beauty box!
