For the longest time I've been meaning to sit down to write a post like this. So today I thought I would seeing as the end of the year is approaching!
Below, I've detailed a few of my favourite blogs to read in 2017, these are the blogs that I go back to time and time again and thoroughly enjoy reading. I really do hope you find some new blogs to read here.
BEAUTY
Pint Sized Beauty
Lily's blog has been a daily read of mine for quite some time now. Her short but detailed posts and spot-on photography always draw me in. She has something new up almost daily so whenever I check back there is always new content to read which I really like. Lily's blog has also recommended me some amazing products throughout 2017... she was the reason I placed my first Glossier order and fell in love with even more products from The Ordinary. If you are looking for a lovely daily beauty read I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Pint Sized Beauty.
Fashionicide
Fashionicide was a blog I really discovered last year after seeing Lima's beyond creative posts on Instagram. For me, her blog is a work of art and deserves so much more recognition! My favourite posts have to be Lima's Reviews, Makeup, Swatches (seen here) which are so creative and really give you an amazing feel of the product through her review and professional imagery and makeup artistry. If you adore makeup and love seeing other's creativity then Fashionicide is a must read!
LIFESTYLE
Hannah Gale
When I want easy to digest lifestyle content I always head over to Hannah's blog. For me she's the queen of the lifestyle blog, having a natural flare for easy to read posts that are always engaging and fun. However, she's not shy about touching upon more serious topics which again she does well. I also live for Hannah's high street finds from fashion to homeware, she always seems to highlight something I didn't know I needed until it's on her blog. Another amazing read to check out if you already haven't!
From Roses
I started reading Rebecca's blog years ago as a beauty blog and while it still has a lot of beauty content (which I love!) I'm always in awe of her lifestyle posts that are beautifully written and photographed. Although this may make zero sense... I often feel like Rebecca's posts are like a written podcast; engaging and heartfelt. A perfectly formed blog that has really blossomed over the past year or so.
FOOD
Skinny Taste
Although Skinny Taste is now a huge blog, with a published cookbook, I've been reading it from the early days, saving and trying out recipes. While I'm not keen on the name 'Skinny Taste' I do love the healthy-ish recipes that are both homely and easy to cook. A few of my favourite dishes include Skinny Chicken Enchiladas, Stuffed Sweet Potatoes Italian Style and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. A food blog I've loved more and more over the years!
The Mother Cooker
While I've followed Gemma through her beauty blogging days The Mother Cooker has been a new read for me in 2017. While I enjoyed Gemma's beauty blog I've been blown away by her recipe creating, cooking and food photography. This woman is seriously talented! Although I've yet to cook one of Gemma's creations (I'm tempted to start with One Pot Lasagne Soup or 'Puffins' - pizza shaped like a muffin) I enjoy each and every post. I truly hope The Mother Cooker becomes a huge success because I can definitely imagine it in book form one day!
I really do hope you've discovered a few new blogs to read here!
