After packing for a little break away with my boyfriend is still fresh in my mind and it is summer, after all, I thought I share with you the beauty products seriously worth picking up to pack for your next vacation and enjoy using the rest of the time!
Below, you will find travel size products that not only save space in an overnight bag or suitcase but also work well as products in your makeup bag in their own right. From miniature versions of some cult classics to some seriously lust-worthy palettes for both home and away use.
Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes
£25 each - Cult Beauty here
Huda is known for their stunning highly pigmented eyeshadow palette but containing 18 pans they're simply too large for travel. However, with their fairly new Obsessions range we now have the choice of 6 different mini palettes each containing 9 shades in a much more compact form - in fact, it's pretty amazing how dinky these palettes actually are and the fact they are still able to include a mirror of a pretty adequate size!
For me the Warm Brown Obsessions and Coral Obsessions, both of which I own, make perfect palettes for both travel and at home, containing a mix of matte and foil shades. Truly perfect palettes!
MAC Little Lipsticks
£10 - ASOS here
If you're a makeup lover than the chances are you own a few MAC lipsticks but did you know they now come in mini form? With a saving of £7.50 compared to their full-size counterparts, these marvellous minis are not only budget friendly and adorable but ideal for travelling light or when space is limited in a smaller handbag or clutch. With 10 mini lipsticks to pick from in some iconic shades - think Velvet Teddy, Ruby Woo and Russian Red, this is the ideal treat to go in your travel makeup bag.
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Minis Set
£33.00 - Cult Beauty here
Another clutch bag compatible/travel-friendly buy I wanted to share are these gorgeous mini liquid lipsticks from Huda. With a full-size Liquid Matte from Huda costing £18, this set doesn't seem bad value for money at all, especially if you know how superior Huda Liquid Matte Lipsticks are compared to other matte lip products.
The Au Natural Nudes Edition is the set that's been in my own makeup bag for the last two months and with four light to dark nudes in varying tones, they have all seen an equal amount of wear and are definitely perfect for throwing in a handbag. The reason however that this set stands out to me is the formula of the liquid lipsticks feeling light and almost watery on the lips while offering full coverage in terms of colour - something I have never experienced before with a liquid lipstick and very much appreciate! If you love matte liquid lipsticks and often find them a bit heavy or drying in warm weather then this is a set worth picking up especially if you have a holiday booked!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Travel Size
£10.00 ASOS Beauty here (Waterproof version here)
Mascara is without a doubt a travel essential and while a full-size tube doesn't take up much room, a travel size is perfect if you are wanting to take away a waterproof mascara that you wouldn't generally use of a day-to-day basis. Travel-size mascaras are surprisingly not that popular however Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara have both the original and waterproof version in travel size for only £10.00 and having used the mini size I can say it does last 2-3 months which isn't bad for the price plus you should be ditching mascara around the 3 month mark anyway. Too Faced Better Than Sex in both formulas offers a good volumising effect to the lashes and is a personal favourite of mine as it gives a false lash effect without looking heavy or clumpy. An essential holiday item for me!
Benefit Mini Blushers
£12.50 each Boots here (3 for £25 here)
At £21+ Benefit blushers and bronzers while compact are a little steep in price to pick up for a weekend getaway. However, their mini versions that come in at only £12.50 (or 3 for £25 here) are the ideal treat to add to your holiday makeup bag. From the iconic Hoola bronzer to newer launches such as GALifornia and Gold Rush, Benefit now have 5 blushers, bronzers and highlighters in mini form, which not only look incredibly cute as the packaging isn't compromised at all, but all offer a good amount of product and feel just perfect as holiday makeup, whether it's a beach holiday or weekend away. My favourite boxed products from Benefit that I would highly recommend picking up in travel size is Hoola, simply as it's such a staple neutral bronzer that suits so many skin tones and GALifornia as it's the most luscious coral blush with a hint of a golden shimmer that really does look stunning. A real favourite product here!
